Terms of Service
Telephone/face-to-face bookings: Mindscapes Wellness guarantees the provision of service on payment in full for appointments booked over the telephone or face-to-face with the practice. The client will undertake to pay the balance of fees by bank transfer not less than 48 hours before the appointment.
Mindscapes Wellness cancellation: Mindscapes Wellness reserves the right to cancel appointments. possible, Mindscapes Wellness will give at least 24 hours notice of cancellation. Where, in the event of cancellation, Mindscapes Wellness will offer an alternative appointment or a refund of fee.
Client cancellation: The client has the right to cancel an appointment at any time. If you are unable to attend your appointment please let us know as soon as possible. A full refund will be made by the practice if notice of cancellation is given by the client more than 48 hours before the appointment time. If the cancellation is made less 48 hours in advance of the appointment time the full appointment fee will be charged. We hope clients appreciate that it is rarely possible to fill these appointments at such short notice, which is why we are obliged to charge.
Confidentiality is an integral part of hypnotherapy and is essential to building the therapeutic relationship.
The therapeutic process encourages the client to be as open and honest as possible. Inevitably, personal experiences and sensitive information are disclosed. It is therefore vital that the client can trust that discussions will remain confidential. Information will remain confidential unless both the client and therapist agree for disclosure with a third party. Circumstances where confidentiality may be broken with consent would be serious, such as:
A risk to the client’s life;
A risk to another person’s life;
if the therapist would be liable to civil or criminal court proceedings if they did not disclose client information.
In extremely rare cases it may be necessary for the therapist to disclose information to a third party without the consent of the client.
Clients who are under 18 years of age and who wish to undertake hypnotherapy are entitled to the same level of privacy as their adult counterparts. Clients under 18 will require the written consent of a parent or guardian. Any clients under 18 years of age will have their files retained until they reach the age of 25, in line with medical industry guidelines.
Online therapy from Mindscapes Wellness requires the same consent as in-person therapy, and those wishing to undergo online therapy will be required to complete the same consent forms. Electronic (typed) signatures will be accepted. Please refer to the Zoom Guidance for Clients to prepare for your online therapy sessions
